Flottstad

Four Seasons

Flottstad is not a summer address with a winter attached. The house is lived through the whole year, and the photographs follow the seasons we have actually recorded.

Spring — Nature Awakens

Snow gives way to running water. The forest opens slowly and the days grow longer.

Summer — Endless Nordic Days

Light lingers late. The grass grows deep, the lakes lie still, and the evening belongs to the fire and the water.

Autumn — Colors & Silence

The first frost settles on the grass while color is still in the trees. Mornings are cold and clear, and the landscape feels closer.

Winter — A Scandinavian Wonderland

Snow covers the forest and the house. The days are short and bright. On some clear nights the northern lights may appear. That is a possibility, never a promise. Winter is not a side season at Flottstad.
